Council meetings are held twice a month in the Council Chamber of the Region of Queens Municipality, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, NS;  the second Tuesdays of the month, meetings start at 9 a.m., and the fourth Tuesday of the month, meetings start at 5:30 p.m.  In July, August and December only one meeting is held and it is on the second Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m.

The public are welcome to attend Council meetings and speak during the public comment portion of the meeting, no registration is necessary. If you would like to speak at a specific Council meeting and be called upon by name at the beginning of the public comment session, please email clerk@regionofqueens.com.

Notice of Intent to Consider Second Reading – Bylaw 13: Solid Waste Management

Council of Region of Queens Municipality will consider second reading of Bylaw No. 13 – Solid Waste Management, at a Special Council Meeting on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to be held virtually and live streamed.

OBJECT OF THE BYLAW:  The purpose of this bylaw is to regulate the proper separation, storage, placement for collection, transportation, and disposal of all types of solid waste within the Region of Queens Municipality to ensure effective, sanitary, and environmentally responsible waste management.

A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Municipal Administration Building, located at 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, NS, during the regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on the Municipal website at www.regionofqueens.com.

Since September 2020, Council meetings have been video recorded and posted on Region of Queens Municipality’s YouTube channel, available to watch at your convenience. In April 2024, the municipality began live streaming Council proceedings on Region of Queens Municipality’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Following the live stream, the videos remain on the YouTube channel.
