NEW! Policy 99: Winter Maintenance

Winter Maintenance – Facilities and Parking

Did you know that Region of Queens Municipality is responsible for winter maintenance of Municipal Administration Building, Liverpool Business Development Centre, Waterfront Parking (along Henry Hensey Drive), and Main Street Downtown Parking?  Winter maintenance includes snow removal, anti-icing, and de-icing work that is carried out by Region of Queens Municipality Department of Infrastructure staff before, during, and after a winter storm.

Region of Queens Municipality recognizes that winter conditions don’t mean that everything comes to a stop. The information in the graphic with this post provides information about the Priority Parking Areas, the expected timelines,  and level of service for each of the identified areas, so you know what to expect in winter. Whether it’s work or an appointment, sometimes you have to be out in bad weather. Parking your vehicle in serviced Priority Parking Areas allows our winter maintenance crews more room to operate safely and efficiently. Times are determined based on an average winter storm and may vary depending on the severity of the storm.

We know this is a lot of information to put in one graphic and may be hard to see well.  To help people to access this information, a downloadable pdf of the winter maintenance flyer for facilities and parking is available b6 clicking the graphic or click here.
Below is information and a pdf for winter maintenance for roads and streets, which was posted last week.
