Expanded Electronics Recycling Program for Small Appliances
May 21, 2024: Effective June 1, 2024, the Expanded Electronics Recycling Program for Small Appliances begins as approved and regulated by the province of Nova Scotia and EPRA. Small appliances included in this program are also banned from landfills across Nova Scotia as of June 1, 2024. The list of accepted items is on the graphic below; they can be taken to any EPRA electronics recycling depot (there are two in Queens County, noted in the chart at the top of this page). The list of acceptable items includes small appliances for counter-top cooking, hair & personal care, floor/carpet care, devices to measure weight/time and garment care.
