NEW 2026 Sorting Guide for Non Recyclables and Organics and Waste Collection Schedule

Effective January 1, 2025, the 2026 Sorting Guide for Non Recyclables and Organics and collection schedule will be in effect.

In the Region of Queens, waste collection is every second week as indicated on your waste collection schedule. Green carts and garbage bags are picked up on the same day. Place materials at the curb by 8:00am on collection day. Collection occurs on all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Collections that would normally fall on those days would then occur on the next collection day. Click this link for the 2026 Waste Collection Schedule.

Spring and Fall Clean-Up, Leaf and Yard Waste Clean-Up and Christmas Tree Pick-Up occur on the same day as your regular collection.
