Waste collection scheduled for January 20, will now be collected on Saturday, January 21. Please ensure that all waste is at the curb by 8am.

Queens District RCMP is investigating mischief to the Tourist Bureau in Liverpool. On January 9, 2023, Queens District RCMP responded to a report of vandalism to the Tourist Bureau in Liverpool. RCMP officers learned that someone had vandalized the Tourist Bureau with various forms of graffiti between the evening of January 8 and early morning hours of January 9. RCMP officers have obtained a photo of a person believed to be involved in in the incident and are releasing the photo to the public in the hopes of identifying them. A short time ago, I was notified of vandalism at the Visitor Information Centre in Liverpool. Vandalism, including damaged windows and spray painted hateful words targeting 2SLGBTQ+ communities, was very upsetting to say the least. This was an act of hatred. Sadly, these actions cause hurt to our communities and 2SLGBTQ+ people as a whole far beyond the cost of paint and glass. ** UPDATE: Dec. 30, 2022, 7:45 p.m.: The water disruption that occurred earlier today, December 30th, in Brooklyn and parts of Liverpool has been repaired. Utility customers may continue to experience discoloured water for a period of time- running your cold water tap for a few minutes typically resolves this. If your water is still not clear, wait and trying running your tap again a few hours later. Customers may also have lower than normal pressure- cleaning your faucet aerators can typically resolve this.
