Public Hearing Notice: Sale of Municipal Land for Less Than Market Value

TAKE NOTICE THAT Council of Region of Queens Municipality, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers of the Municipal Administration Building, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, Nova Scotia, will hold a Public Hearing respecting Council’s intention to sell municipal property to a nonprofit organization for less than market value.  (S. 51 (3) of Municipal Government Act).

The property, identified as PID# 70110903 and known as the South Shore Regional Airport, is located off Airport Road in Greenfield.  The purpose of this sale is to facilitate the ongoing activities of the Nova Scotia Drag Racers Association. The appraised fair market value of the property is $565,000.

Any interested persons who wish to speak on this matter are invited to attend and make their opinions known to Council.  Written submissions will be presented at the Hearing, and must be delivered to the Municipal Office at least two (2) days prior to the time of the Hearing.
