Issued September 24, 2026:Curling Canada issued a media release today announcing that the 2027 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship will be held in Liverpool, Nova Scotia from October 25 – 31, 2027. Liverpool Championship Host Society has hosted several other top tier national and international curling events at Queens Place Emera Centre.

Issued Friday, August 21, 2026: Construction of a new sidewalk on White Point Road, Liverpool, between Meadow Pond Lane and Harley Umphrey Drive, is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026. Issued Friday, August 21, 2026: Contractors will be on site starting on Monday, August 24, 2026 to complete the work for the Town Bridge Lift Station project in Liverpool.  The work will take place in the right turn lane coming off the bridge onto Henry Hensey Drive.  There will be no access to Henry Hensey drive from the existing right turn lane coming off the bridge. Starting Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the section of College Street between Waterloo Street and Barss Street will become a one-way street. Vehicle access will be from Waterloo Street or by making a right turn from Barss Street onto College Street. The section of College Street between Pleasant Avenue and Shore Road will remain two-way for vehicle traffic. Pedestrian and active transportation access will continue to be available in both directions along the entire street.
