Our municipality is home to three long term care facilities licensed by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness:
- Hillsview Acres, Home for Special Care is owned and operated by the Region of Queens Municipality and is located in Middlefield. Hillsview Acres is a 29 bed, level one care residential care facility.
- North Queens Nursing Home is a non-profit organization under the direction of a Board of Directors and is located in Caledonia. It is a 43 bed, long term home for special care facility offering respite and palliative care services.
- Queens Manor is a non-profit organization under the direction of a Board of Directors and is located in Liverpool. It is a 61 bed, long term care facility offering palliative care services. Queens Manor is also home to Queens Adult Day Program.
In addition, there are a number of privately-owned seniors’ homes as well as some planned development for new rental units for those able to enjoy more independent living.
