Council of Region of Queens Municipality Approves 2021-2022 Budget

April 28, 2021; Liverpool, NS:  Following several months of budget planning and deliberations, the annual Operating, Water Utility, and Capital Budgets for Region of Queens Municipality were unanimously approved at the April 27, 2021 Regular Council meeting.  This is the first budget of the newly elected Council. Operating Budget total is $21,968,378, including Hillsview Acres. This year’s LEAF AND YARD WASTE roadside pick-up will be held during the weeks of May 3 to May 7, 2021 and May 10 to May 14, 2021 on your regular collection day. The materials acceptable for pick-up shall include leaves, grass trimmings, and yard waste placed in clear or orange plastic bags. (No plastics, cigarette packages, cups, etc.)   Branches and limbs will be accepted if individual branches do not exceed 7 cm. April 14, 2021: On April 18 & 19, 2021, Region of Queens Municipality will fly the flags at the Administration Building and Queens Place Emera Centre at half mast to honour and remember the 22 Nova Scotians killed on these dates one year ago.
