The results of the Area Rate votes will now be presented to Council in a staff report at the Regular Council Meeting on March 24, 2026, which begins at 5:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend this meeting in the Chamber gallery at the Municipal Administration Building at 249 White Point, Liverpool. It will also be livestreamed on our Facebook Page and YouTube channel. Council will consider the results of these votes and determine whether to approve the requested Area Rates at that time.
Area Rate Voting Results, Assessment Districts 5 & 6
Brooklyn Cemetery Committee
On February 13, 2026, eligible voters in Assessment Districts 5 and 6 were given an opportunity to vote on a request from Brooklyn Cemetery Committee to levy a 1.5 cent per $100 of assessment on all assessment accounts in Assessment Districts 5 and 6 for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The vote is not binding.
The results of the vote are as follows:
YES – 72
NO – 14
Rejected and Spoiled Ballots – 0
Total Voters Casting a Ballot – 86
Brooklyn Recreation Committee
On February 13, 2026, eligible voters in Assessment Districts 5 and 6 were given an opportunity to vote on a request from Brooklyn Recreation Committee to levy a 4 cent per $100 of assessment on all assessment accounts in Assessment Districts 5 and 6 for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The vote is not binding.
