LEAF AND YARD WASTE PICK-UP   May 4 to May 8, 2020 and May 11 to May 15, 2020   This year’s LEAF AND YARD WASTE roadside pick-up will be held during the weeks of May 4 to May 8, 2020 and May 11 to May 15, 2020 on your regular collection day. The materials acceptable for pick-up shall include leaves, grass trimmings, and yard waste placed in clear or orange plastic bags. The tragic results of the loss of so many innocent lives in Nova Scotia on April 18 and 19 will remain with us for a long time. Along with all of Nova Scotia, our residents mourn with the families and their communities, including the death of a courageous member of our Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Please note:  as a result of direction from Department of Health and Wellness,  most of the March Break Programs have been canclled by the organizers.  It is recommended that people practice “Social Distancing”  (maintain a distance of a minimum of 6 feet from other people), and “Social Isolation” (staying at home, with no contact with other people) for 2 weeks if they have travelled outside of Canada recently, or been in proximity of someone who may have COVID-19.   These efforts are intended to “Flatten the Curve” (slow the transmission of the disease so as not to overwhelm the health care…
