Public Notice: Temporary Partial Road Closure November 22, 2021: On Monday, November 22, Church Street, Liverpool will close between Park Street and Jubilee Street for the continuation of work in the area of Court Street. Detours will be in place. The road closure will continue to be in effect until November 26. We apologize for any inconvenience caused while we complete this necessary infrastructure work.

Updated Policy 66: Traffic Authority Approved
November 8, 2021: At the Council meeting on October 26, 2021, Council approved revisions to Policy 66 Respecting the Appointment of Traffic Authority. Those revisions include reappointing Adam Grant, Director of Engineering and Public Works, as the Traffic Authority for Liverpool, a role he has held since July 16, 2020. Garrett Chetwynd, Assistant Director of Engineering and Public Works, has been designated the alternate to serve as Traffic Authority in Adam’s absence. The facility houses 29 residents and 27 part time and full time employees to operate the facility. Hillsview Acres is seeking pricing proposals from qualified contractors to provide snow removal and ice control services for the 2021- 2022 winter season. October 29, 2021: The Cowie Well located at 733 Main Street, Liverpool, has been approved to reopen by Nova Scotia Department of Environment. We thank the public for their patience. October 21, 2021: The Cowie Well located at 733 Main Street, Liverpool, will be closed until further notice. As a requirement of Nova Scotia Department of Environment, bacteria testing is conducted regularly. The most recent test showed presence of coliform and as a result, the well needs to be closed for further testing. Special Purpose Flag Pole: Mi’kmaq Grand Council Flag and Every Child Matters Flags
At the October 12th Regular Council meeting, Council approved an application from the Diversity and Inclusion Action Team to fly the Every Child Matters flag along with the Mi’kmaq Grand Council flag on the special purpose flag pole. Accessibility Improvements Made at Beach Meadows Beach
September 23, 2021; Liverpool, NS: Beach Meadows Beach, a municipally owned beach, is now more accessible as the result of improvements. A MOBI mat and an accessible picnic table have been installed by Region of Queens Municipality at the popular beach located in Beach Meadows. A MOBI mat is a durable mat made to provide ease of access for people with disabilities, those using mobility aids, or parents with strollers to use beaches, parks, and other public spaces. It is non-slip, has white stripes for people with visual impairments, is UV-, water- and mildew-resistant, and made of 100% recycled polyester. Sand…
