Road Work and Traffic Changes: Week of November 9 Mount Pleasant Service Extension Project and Waterloo East Infrastructure Renewal Project
Road work continues next week on Waterloo Street and in the Mount Pleasant area. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
In observance of Remembrance Day, there will be no work on Wednesday, November 11.
Shore Road
Civic 9 to 30: Stop-and-go traffic on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Civic 105 to 144: Stop-and-go traffic on Tuesday.
Pleasant Avenue Monday, November 9: Stop-and-go traffic on Monday.
All-Way Stop at intersection of School Street & Waterloo Street Monday, November 9: the 4-way stop at School and Waterloo will have traffic control to facilitate a tree removal on Waterloo St. Priority will be given to the through traffic up and down School Street to ensure that busses and hospital access is maintained.
Waterloo Street (between Bartling Avenue and School Street)
Thursday and Friday, November 12 & 13: One lane open, with spotters on site.

Issued October 30, 2026 Main Street Pedestrian Safety & Accessibility Improvement Project, Week of November 2 – 6, 2026
- Work on the Main Street and Market Street Pedestrian Safety Improvements project in Liverpool is continuing, with concrete work by the Post Office now completed.
- Sidewalk and curb work, including concrete installation will take place throughout the week in the areas of 154 – 190 Main Street. The work will move day to day as the project progresses. During these activities, temporary disruptions to pedestrian routes, traffic movements, parking, and property access may occur in the immediate work areas. Concrete placement and curing will also require temporary restrictions on access to newly poured sections. Please use caution when travelling through the construction area, follow posted signage, and respect instructions from crews on site. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements.

Waterloo Street (Bartling Avenue to School Street)
* Monday to Friday: Stop-and-go traffic. A crew will be on site to prepare for the final asphalt layer and for sidewalk work.
Shore Road
* Civic 9 to 30: Stop-and-go traffic, Monday to Friday.
* Civic 52 to 105: Closed, with local traffic only, Monday to Friday. A detour will be in place.
