JOIN INCLUSION QUEENS — BE PART OF THE CHANGE!

Region of Queens Municipality is seeking community members to join the Inclusion Queens Advisory Committee.

Inclusion Queens advises Municipal Council on programs, services, and policies that build a more diverse, inclusive, and welcoming Queens County. The Committee is working toward a Municipal Plan to Dismantle Discrimination and Hate, and collaborates with community and business partners to celebrate the diversity that makes our region strong.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has lived experience as a member of a marginalized community, or a clear connection to one
  • Brings an open, positive, and curious mindset
  • Is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Is willing to engage in meaningful and sometimes difficult conversations
  • Understands the power of education in reducing discrimination
  • Is comfortable advocating for diversity and inclusion in their community

What to expect:

The Committee meets monthly in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Building, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool. Meetings are open to the public. The Committee has up to 10 community members, including the Mayor.
