Queens County residents are exceptionally supportive and encouraging!  Everyone is incredibly proud of our local athletes, and in particular Sarah Mitton, World Indoor Athletics Champion in Women’s Shot Put, and she holds the Canadian Record for women’s indoor shot put (20.22 metres)!  Sarah has qualified to compete at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris – and will soon be focussed on training for the Olympics.

You can show her your support!  Record a brief video (10 seconds or less) to wish her success at the Olympics, some words of encouragement or a positive mantra to help her with her training.  Near the end of March, we will be posting a link to upload your videos, and we will edit them together to be a big Cheers From Home video that will be sent to Sarah!
