Special Purpose Flag Pole: June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 20, 2023:  On June 21, the Special Purpose Flagpole at Town Hall Arts & Cultural Centre, 219 Main St., Liverpool, NS will fly the Sante’ Mawiomi flag, also known as Mi’kmaq Grand Council flag, in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and to recognize that June is National Indigenous History Month.

National Indigenous Peoples Day was established in 1996 to recognize the rich history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples across Canada.
