The Town Hall Arts & Cultural Centre at 219 Main Street is a National Historic Site of Canada because of its architectural and historical significance. The building, featuring elegantly restrained classical detailing, was constructed in 1901-1902 on land donated by the Gorham family.

In 2014 -2015 a complete renovation of the interior of this building was completed retaining the original character of the interior, but optimizing the use of the space as an arts and cultural centre.

This includes a larger lobby area, shared with the Astor Theatre, a permanent Mi’kmaq Gallery, an art workshop room, gallery/meeting spaces and much more.
