Special Weather Statement in Effect
August 25, 2023; 12 p.m.: Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement in effect for western, central and northwestern Nova Scotia, including Queens County. Heavy rainfall possible for some areas, with total rainfall possibly reaching or exceeding 50 millimetres, starting late Friday night into Sunday morning.Rainfall amounts could exceed 25 millimetres per hour locally. Heavy downpours can cause flash flooding and pooling of water.
