Marine flares, otherwise known as “pyrotechnic distress signals” form part of the required safety equipment of many vessels. However many boaters are unaware that improper disposal of flares can be hazardous.  This program allows boaters to properly dispose of these materials by dropping them off at their nearest RCMP detachment or Canadian Coast Guard Base.
