The Trestle Trail Bridge Is Open Again!
The Trestle Trail Bridge has been closed to all users for several seasons following an engineering report of deterioration in the concrete support pillars. We are delighted that repair work has been carried out, and on Saturday September 21 2019, the Trestle Trail bridge re-opened to the public.
This is a beautiful community walking trail. A former section of rail line, the Trestle Trail meanders along the Mersey River and through the picturesque town of Liverpool. The surface is well packed and it is a wide trail. There are fantastic river views in both directions. The bridge section now also connects with Pine Grove Park.
