2015 LQ Business Excellence Awards SS Breaker

Lanes Privateer Inn

Few can boast business longevity of 80 years, but 2014 marks the 80th year that the Lane family has operated businesses in Liverpool. This makes the significance of Lanes Privateer Inn being named the winner of the 2014 Lunenburg Queens Business Excellence Award in the Hospitality Category even more special. To mark this remarkable anniversary, the Lane family are planning further renovations to Lanes Privateer Inn, to help the business keep pace with the times and meet the needs of their clientele for years to come.

The Best Western Plus Liverpool Hotel and Conference Centre recently won the M.K. Guertin Award, named after the founder of the company, for top level achievement.  Only 28 out of 2400 Best Western properties received this prestigious award!

Hell Bay Brewing Company

It is remarkable to think that in just three short years, Mark and Melanie Baillie, owners of Hell Bay Brewing Company have gone from brewing 30 gallon batches as a micro brewery located in a barn on their Cherry Hill property, to supplying bars and restaurants along the South Shore and locations in Halifax, as well as being stocked in Nova Scotia Liquor Commission stores throughout the province from their brewery located on the Liverpool waterfront.
