The Department of Recreation and Community Facilities is staffed by professionals who work with the community to create and plan recreational opportunities for residents. Year-round they plan activities and classes for people of all ages and interests, offer grants and subsidies, provide training for volunteers and offer administrative support for community groups.

Program Waiver (not for swimming lesson use).

 Region of Queens Municipality encourages residents to recognize and celebrate the volunteer contributions of their friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens by nominating them through "The Ripple Effect", a volunteer recognition initiative.

Operational Policy 11 - Community Investment Fund

Region of Queens Muncipality is now accepting applications for the new Community Investment Fund for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.  The Operating Investment Fund contained within the Community Investment Fund has replaced the formerly known Grants to Organizations funding mechanism.

Application deadline for the Operating Investment Fund is Thursday, January 31, 2019.
