The Region of Queens Municipality is seeking a motivated, dependable and community-minded person to join our team as a Utility Operator 1 in Water and Wastewater System Operations.
The Utility Operator 1 plays a key role in applying NSECC-certified skills and abilities in the maintenance and operation of Municipal water and wastewater facilities and equipment including manual labour, compliance and operational sample collection, testing and evaluation. (If you do not have NSECC certification, we will help you work towards acquiring that.)
Utility Operator 1 includes operating light vehicles (<4500kg GVWR) and specialized tools or equipment.

- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You have the ability to function effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with challenging and competing priorities and deadlines
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Post-Secondary education in a related field is considered a strong asset
- Class 5 NS Driver’s License

Compensation:
This is an IBEW Union position at an hourly wage of $28.07 per hour.
