The Region of Queens Municipality is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Economic Development Officer (CEDO).
As a CEDO, you will play a key role in advancing community and economic development initiatives across the region. This position requires a balance of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, project management, and creative problem-solving. Taking direction from Council and working collaboratively with community members, businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and other partners, you will:
- Identify both immediate and long-term community challenges and opportunities
- Develop and implement innovative and practical solutions
- Monitor and evaluate initiatives that enhance the social and economic well-being of the community

You are a passionate, self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You thrive in collaborative environments and are able to demonstrate:
- A proven ability to conduct research, manage administrative tasks, and deliver effective presentations
- Comfort with technology and digital tools to support project delivery and engagement
- A genuine commitment to community growth and resilience
Qualifications
- A degree in business administration, community development, economic development, or a related field is considered an asset
- A minimum of three years of experience in economic development, community development, or a closely related area is required

Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $60,163 to $79,566 annually, commensurate with experience.
