Join Our Team: Utility Supervisor
Region of Queens Municipality’s Department of Infrastructure is currently seeking applications from a highly-organized, detail-oriented and dynamic individual interested in joining our team in the position of Utility Supervisor.
The position of Utility Supervisor is a hands-on position involving the oversight and management of the Municipality’s water utility and wastewater infrastructure and assets, providing management and supervision of Department of Infrastructure staff.
The Utility Supervisor is accountable to the Director of Infrastructure for administration and oversight of all municipal infrastructure and facilities including new developments, and re-investments to prolong the use of and ongoing maintenance of current infrastructure.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Be a graduate of a recognized utility training program, with operator certification recognized by the Province of Nova Scotia in the water and wastewater field.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of operational experience.
- Have the ability to be designated as DRC for South Queens Water Treatment Facility at a minimum.
- A strong understanding of municipal infrastructure and experience in the supervision of employees.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
