Title: Light from the East: Introducing the Orthodox Church

Schedule: 6 week course beginning Monday, February 6^th, 10 am – noon

Description: The Orthodox Church (or more properly churches) claims to be the most ancient expression of the Christian faith.  What can be learned from a tradition so steeped in tradition—that takes pride in not having substantially changed in a millennium?  This six-week course will examine some of the history, liturgy, and basic teachings of Orthodoxy, ending with a discussion of the religious aspects of conflict between Russian and Ukraine.
