January 7, 2022:  On the morning of January 6, 2022, Hillsview Acres administration was notified by a staff member that they had tested positive for COVID-19.  The staff member has not been in the Hillsview Acres facility for more than 10 days so there is no chance that it was spread to any residents by this staff member. The staff member however, has been in contact with one or more other staff members outside of work and they are therefore considered close contacts. These staff have been identified and are now off work and are self-isolating as they await their own testing results.

All of our eligible residents have received their booster shots, and our staffing and supply levels are sufficient to provide care for residents.

As per the Nova Scotia Government and Public Health’s COVID-19 update on January 5, 2022, residents visits have been suspended until January 17th.

During this difficult time, we remain focused on caring for residents and making sure our staff and residents are safe. Thank you for your understanding and support. Hillsview Acres is deeply committed to providing residents with the highest levels of care, and we are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
