Region of Queens Municipality is proud to fly the Pan African flag in recognition of African Heritage Month. As per Operational Policy #84: Flag Flying, the flag will be flown for the first two weeks of February on the Special Purpose Flag Pole located on the Liverpool waterfront.

This year's African Heritage Month theme in Nova Scotia is “Black History Matters: Listen, Learn, Share and Act”, encouraging increased awareness of the adversity overcome by a community for inclusion. This theme also aligns with the United Nations' declaration of 2015 - 2024 as International Decade for People of African Descent.

During the month of February(and all year long), please listen, learn, share, and act to make society a better place for all.
