Ad Hoc Noise Bylaw Committee

Role

The role of the Ad Hoc Noise Bylaw Committee is to assist Municipal Council with its review of Council’s proposed new Noise Bylaw by providing advice and guidance on community noise issues. This will be done through a 10-person ad hoc committee.

The Committee Will

  • review the proposed new Bylaw No. 7 - A Bylaw Prohibiting Certain Noises.
  • review all written public feedback and comments as of May 26, 2021.
  • make recommendations to Council for changes to, adoption of, or rejection of proposed new Noise Bylaw.

Membership

Membership on the Committee shall include one community member from each of the Municipality’s seven (7) electoral districts as well as three (3) elected representatives from Council.  Currently Region of Queens Municipality is seeking expressions of interest from community members from Electoral District 1 which runs from East Port l'Hebert to Meadow Pond Lane in Liverpool. Public members of the committee will be appointed by Council. Members of the public appointed to this committee should have a strong understanding of the community in which they live and be open to listening to different opinions. We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds and encourage interested persons to self-identify.
