Starting on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, Nomination packages  will be available to those considering becoming a candidate in the upcoming election.   They may be picked up at Region of Queens Municipality Administration Office, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, for the following offices:
MAYOR for the Region of Queens Municipality
ONE COUNCILLOR for each of Polling Districts 1 through 7

September 10, 2020: NOTICE OF POLL

The Municipal Election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Electors may vote between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the locations listed below on ordinary polling day.

Advance polls will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020, and Tuesday, October 13, 2020 between the hours of 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m. Any elector who expects to be unable to vote on ordinary polling day may vote at the Advance poll. Proxy votes are not accepted at the Advance poll.

Each weekday through to Nomination Day, we'll post an update of the unofficial list of candidates who have submitted their nomination papers, and on September 10, 2020, the Grant of Poll will be posted, which is the official list of candidates for the 2020 Municipal Election in Region of Queens Municipality.

Thinking about offering for Municipal office?  Region of Queens Municipality will host an information session for members of the public who may be considering offering for Municipal Election this fall. 

This session will briefly explain the election process from now until after the election, including the nomination process, candidate requirements, electoral boundaries, position requirements and answer any questions you may have.

WHERE: Queens Place Emera Centre, Liverpool (Community Room)

TIME: 6:30 p.m.
