The Diversity and Inclusion Action Team believes that all residents of Queens County should have equitable treatment and access to services and resources.  Listed here will be community resources in Queens County that serve a wide range of people.

  • Inclusive Language:  What we say and how we say it is an important part of being inclusive.  The use of inclusive language helps further our social and cultural diversity in our communities. The  Diveristy and Inclusion Guide to Terminology is a helpful tool which will help people in using terms that are welcoming and inclusive to all.  The  Cheat Sheet to More Inclusive Language is a brief overview of up to date language.  The language we use can build strong communities.

If your organization works to be more diverse and inclusive, and would like to be listed on our site, please contact the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
