Council meetings are held twice a month in the Council Chamber of the Region of Queens Municipality, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, NS;  the second Tuesdays of the month, meetings start at 9 a.m., and the fourth Tuesday of the month, meetings start at 6 p.m.  In July, August and December only one meeting is held and it is on the second Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. 

Meeting Agendas are published below on the Friday before the Tuesday meeting.

The public are welcome to attend Council meetings and speak. To register to speak at a Council meeting to get on the Mayor’s Speaker List for a specific date, please email clerk@regionofqueens.com.

Notice of Second Reading: Bylaw #14: A Bylaw Respecting Tax Exemptions

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Region of Queens Municipality intends to consider the following bylaw at its regular meeting of Council to be held on March 25, 2025 at the Council Chambers, 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, NS at 6:00 p.m.:

Bylaw #14: A BYLAW RESPECTING TAX EXEMPTIONS

Object:    To approve tax exemption bylaw that will exempt certain properties with non-profit and charitable status in Queens County from municipal property taxation.

A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected or obtained at the Region Office on 249 White Point Road, Liverpool, Nova Scotia, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Since September 2020, Council meetings have been video recorded and posted on Region of Queens Municipality’s YouTube channel, available to watch at your convenience. In April 2024, the municipality began live streaming Council proceedings on Region of Queens Municipality’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Following the live stream, the videos remain on the YouTube channel.
