Special Purpose flag Pole: October is Mi’kmaw History Month

October is Mi’kmaw History Month. From September 30 through October 15, 2024, the special purpose flag pole located at Town Hall Arts and Cultural Centre, 219 Main St., Liverpool, NS, will fly the Santé Mawiomi flag, (also known as Mi’kmaw Grand Council flag) in honour of Mi’kmaw History Month.

Mi’kmaw History Month is a time for all in Nova Scotia to increase awareness about the Mi’kmaw culture and heritage. The 2024 theme is “Mijipjewey Na Mawa’luksi’k (Food Gathers Us Together)”.
