Winter Parking Restrictions in Effect

Winter Parking Restrictions in Liverpool

Motorists are reminded that Winter Parking restrictions are now in place. Section 139 of the Motor Vehicle Act states that vehicles may not park or interfere in any way with snow removal or sanding/salting, and that those who do, may be towed at the owners expense.

Please be advised that vehicles parked on the roads, at parking meters or public parking lots in Liverpool will be towed if they impede winter maintenance.

Parking Restrictions on Provinical Roadways

Motorists are reminded that the Provincial Winter Parking Ban is in effect. Any Queens County roads located outside of Liverpool are the responsibility of Nova Scotia Public Works. • Parking is prohibited on Provincially owned roads between 1 a.m and 6 a.m. in a way that hinders snow removal,
  • Or one hour after a storm starts until 2 hours after it stops,
  • The Winter Parking Ban is in effect until March 31.
