Owners who fail to abide by the Dog Bylaw are subject (upon conviction) to a fine of no less than $100 (one hundred dollars) up to a maximum of $1000 (one thousand dollars). Non-payment will result in imprisonment for a period no longer than ninety (90) days.

All dogs in Queens must be registered and registrations are valid from April 1st to March 31st. Altered dogs (ie those that are neutered or spayed) are $10 per year and unaltered are $30. Current residents of Queens who have registered in the past will receive a renewal notice each year and first time registrants can download this form . Payment can be made in person at 249 White Point Road, Liverpool during business hours or can be mailed to the address on the form. Owners will receive a metal dog tag which must be on the dog's collar at all times.
