The Department of Recreation and Community Facilities is staffed by professionals who work with the community to create and plan recreational opportunities for residents. Year-round they plan activities and classes for people of all ages and interests, offer grants and subsidies, provide training for volunteers and offer administrative support for community groups.
* NEW! The Region of Queens Municipality has developed a program to recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through "The Ripple Effect", a volunteer recognition initiative.

45's, 5k run, 8-ball pool, badminton, candlepin bowling, contract bridge and duplicate bridge, cribbage, curling and stick curling, darts, floor shuffle-board, golf, horseshoes, men's and women's hockey, mountain biking, pickleball, scrabble, skip bo, women's soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, and washer toss.
