Region of Queens staff presented their Economic Report Card that provides an overview of the economic growth initiatives for the economy of Queens County to the Region of Queens Municipal Council at the December 10th, 2013 Council meeting. The report tracks new business starts, building vacancy rates, business expansions and closures, building permits, and other key indicators of the community through statistics gathered from the 2011 National Household Survey, 2001 and 2006 Statistics Canada Census, Nova Scotia Department of Finance, Nova Scotia Community Counts, Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, and the Region of Queens Municipality.
